Ingredients
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for garnish)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp matcha powder (adjust to taste)
2–3 tbsp water (for consistency)
Optional Garnishes:
Olive oil drizzle
Sesame seeds
Fresh mint leaves
A sprinkle of matcha powder
Instructions
Blend the Ingredients:
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and matcha powder.
Blend until smooth, gradually adding water to reach your desired consistency.
Adjust Seasoning:
Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt, lemon juice, or matcha for balance.
Serve:
Spoon the matcha hummus into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with sesame seeds, mint leaves, and a sprinkle of matcha powder.
Serve with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
