  • Prepare the Tapioca Pearls

    • Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.

    • Add tapioca pearls and stir gently to prevent sticking.

    • Boil for 5-10 minutes (or follow package instructions) until the pearls are tender and chewy.

    • Drain and rinse the pearls under cold water.

    • Optional: Mix with 2 tbsp brown sugar to sweeten and prevent clumping.

  • Make the Matcha Base

    • In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with 2 tbsp hot water until smooth and frothy. A bamboo whisk or milk frother works best.

    • Heat the milk (or serve cold if preferred). Mix the milk with the whisked matcha.

    • Sweeten with sugar or syrup to taste.

  • Assemble the Bubble Tea

    • Divide the cooked tapioca pearls evenly between two glasses.

    • Add ice cubes if serving cold.

    • Pour the matcha mixture over the pearls.

  • Garnish and Serve

    • Stir well before drinking. Use a wide straw for easy tapioca pearl sipping.

    • Optionally, top with whipped cream or sprinkle extra matcha powder for decoration.
